Oh hey remember me? Yeah this is my blog:) Things are starting to calm down a little over here, but I suspect we are in a lull, and I expect things to start getting crazy again soon. My goal is to just try and find my little bits of peace in the chaos.
It's funny because I don't think I realized that this blog really helps keep me sane. To crochet, and photograph, to work on DIY projects and put together pretty outfits, these are all things I do for me and since I haven't had time or motivation to keep up with this little rituals I can see myself slowly losing it! I feel like some part of my day is missing when I haven't played with one of my cameras or taken the extra ten minutes to do my hair and put on a dress!
So, with as little expectation as I can muster, my goal is to find space for manzanita in the midst of life. Because this is it right? Life is all over the place and inconsistent and it won't always completely support me coming home from a full time job and spending all night on manzanita. Sometimes there will be other things going on, but Ive got to remember to at least spend an hour that night on manzanita, because this is what makes me peaceful:)
How do you like the new do? Dustin and I had haircut days this weekend. Here are the before and after pictures. I took a couple outfit posts with the ombre after the cut but pretty quickly I decided to just go back to the all black. It is so funny how whenever I'm going through anything my instinct is to cut all my hair off and dye it! I controlled myself this time at least, just a few inches:)
How are you? What's been going on?

I love the hair cut. It looks beautiful! I think that it's great that you've scheduled an hour each night to work on Manzanita. Things on my end are so unorganized right now. I've got boat load of vintage that I need to organize, photograph and list still. It seems like I'll never catch up! I save everything for the weekends, but then my weekends get filled with other things so it just keeps getting pushed aside and it makes me so sad. I think I need to schedule more time during the week to work on things, like you do. Have a great weekend, beautiful!

i am the SAME exact way... i totally am an emotional hair changer... driven by impulse to chop it off or dye it. :) Ihave toned it down tho lately... i think as I have gotten older, but when I was younger... blonde one day, pink then next, long hair then a mohawk all in a month. i guess I got better at dealing with my emotions? heehee.
xoxo!

I think your cut looks great :)
And I feel you on the blog keeping you sane thing. It really is a wonderful way to do something for *you*, and it's great to look back on, as well.

I think the ombre haircut is lovely! I wish I could do my hair like this, but the frizziness and craziness of my hair limits my options. And I must say that I am in love with your glasses and the boots! Of course, I admire the unique look overall! -Jessica L

You look wonderful! I know what you mean about these creative outlets, if I go two days without them, I already lose it!
