Remember when I said that work would be slowing down and that I was excited to get back into the swing of things? Nope! Work has been crazy this week, I don't know whats going on.
I am still so excited to share some photos with you from our trip last weekend, but for now that'll have to wait. I just got a roll of film developed from my diana mini and I think it was my favorite roll yet. I love photographing flowers with plastic cameras, all the colors pop so much and make the whole image glow don't you think?
These lovelies were just taken around Boulder and I am probably going to use them somehow in the paperie.
If you follow me on instagram you may already know that one of my friends taught me how to use the sewing machine my grandmother gave me a couple years ago. Sewing is one of those things that has always really daunted me but now I am obsessed! Like I have time for another hobby, seriously. But, I want to make skirts and dresses pretty bad. I think I even dreamt of sewing last night.
How is your week going?! Any new obsessions? Oh and if you know of any affordable fabric shops online would you kindly send me a link?
p.s. have you checked out my etsy shop yet, its open!
besitos,

These are so pretty! I love the dreamy focus and bright poppping colors, I really shouldn't neglect my Diana...
I'm excited for you to be learning to sew!!! It's easy to get sucked in. Some shops on Etsy has some great deals on fabric.
sewmamasew.com is not only a great website with resources and tutorials (where I FIRST started learning in fact), but they sell fabric as well with some pretty often sales. If you don't have a Joann Fabric near you, you can shop online and they always have coupons and online deals. Beautiful fabrics CAN get pricey. Hawthorne threads is another website I like, not incredibly cheap but once again I always try to look at things on sale. And of course don't forget Ebay and Amazon, I have found some great deals on discontinued fabrics there.
Thrift stores are so great for fabric, I already know you have bought some sheets, which make great skirt fabric, but if you look in their home decor and maybe they have a little section of crafts and stuff, I am always finding bundles of fabrics, mostly vintage, I made a skirt out of a black and white checked cotton table cloth one time. So always remember, if it's about a yard and comfortable to touch, it can make great fabric!!
