aspen yellow

The only good thing about awful family things happening is that the family usually needs to get together. Pretty much Dustin's whole family has been visiting from the east coast for the last week and a half. While it wasn't under the most ideal circumstances, it was lovely to see everyone. We made time to take a little hike in Estes Park this past weekend, which I was thrilled about because this year the aspen's changed much earlier than normal and with everything that was going I was sad that I might miss them.

I was hoping to do a whole photo shoot of Dustin and I, but that didn't work out. Maybe next year!

What is your favorite part of Fall? I am excited for apple picking, pumpkin patches, dressing my little sisters up for Halloween and thanksgiving in Boston with my BFF!

There's so much I love about autumn - the crisp air, sweaters, the turning leaves, the need for tea, the golden light, warm blankets, rain that's tapping on the roof, a long walk under a clear sky - I could go on and on. But I have to get to work, so have a great day, love!

Such beautiful photos! This area would be wonderful to hike with friends and my dogs! It is difficult to think of what my fav part of fall is, I just think it's everything! Your prices are so lovely! I charged pretty much the same for a long time but people stopped wanting to hire me and would rather pay MORE for other photographers which didn't make any sense to me, and people who did that told me I sold myself too short. . . I didn't understand why they'd hire OTHER people instead of just tipping me extra when they say they would love me to photograph them. Weird. Anyway, I raised my prices this year, which are low still compared to others, but oh well.
Hope you get a lot of business.

I enjoy pumpkin picking too in Autumn. I have never been apple picking since I was about 7, but that is because I'm allergic and my kids don't like fruit at all other than one who likes oranges (I think I am to blame for not eating any fruit while pregnant, so they don't eat them now). To me, I would waste some money to get things that no one will eat other than maybe my husband, who can only eat the ones without pesticides. :: sigh :: We're going pumpkin picking this weekend, though because I am really behind in blogging, it will probably take two or three weeks before it shows up on my blog.

I adore your photos and think this Park is amazing looking!!!! You both seemed to have such great views and a nice time.
