You know how I know that I married the right guy? Because he indulges me in my obsession with vintage ring sets when we haven't even been married for a year. Yes, I am the most spoiled lady on the planet!
I have gone through many phases through my life when it comes to silver and gold. When I was a kid I only wore gold and then when I became a teenager I began to hate it and only wore silver tone metal. This lasted until right around the time we got engaged. The whole time we were ring shopping we only had our eyes on white gold and we ended up finding a lovely white gold vintage ring.
Right before the wedding I started to become pretty obsessed with yellow gold again and so I began acquiring yellow gold jewelery, like necklaces and earrings. I don't know if this is me being crazy but I kinda go nuts when my metals don't match. Do you do this?
So, when I saw this lovely two tone set on etsy my heart jumped. It was so delicate, unique, vintage, and completely affordable: all the things I look for in rings. As much as I love rings I could never really imagine spending a ton of money on them. I showed Dustin the rings and this lovely crazy man gifted them to me for my birthday this year. I love them! The two tone is perfect because I can wear any of my jewelery now and the rings tie it all together. Thanks my sweet man!
Whats the story behind your rings?

Those rings are so beautiful!

I was the same way growiing up. I think it was about a few years ago that i starred wearing gold again. I got a vintage wedding ring too and it has aquamarine as the center stone. I love vintage and knew i didnt want the sterotypical diamond ring.

I just got engaged this past weekend so i haven't been wearing my ring for too long. My ring features a green amethyst in the middle surrounded by diamonds in a white gold setting. It has a touch of vintage style and a touch of modern. I love it!

So pretty. I used to be allllllllll about silver, but I don't mind gold as much anymore. I still prefer silver rings, on myself at least.

My rings are white gold. I wear my mom's engagement ring though and a $30 wedding band from amazon. Maybe one day we'll upgrade, but I'm a simple woman, and like these. your rings are reallllllly pretty (allll of them). I think you are certainly treated special!! My original wedding band was fake and cost $64 that I bought myself but had shipped to my husband's home when we were dating. I was 18 and he didn't have the money, but we picked out the ring together. It was so gaudy though and broke because I worked so hard and used my hands on a regular basis stocking and organizing books and calendars every day. I was heartbroken and then my mom said I could have hers from when she got engaged in 1970 to my dad (she wears her mom's ring these days). I think my engagement ring was not really my mom's though. My dad was engaged once before and I think it was hers. . .which is probably why my mom was eager to let me have it. haha. My husband's wedding band was his great-grandmother's (it looks manly). Your new rings just look amazing and suit you so well!!!!
Looking at that etsy bunch you posted a link to . . .wow. I can't imagine owning a ring that costs hundreds of dollars.

Awe, that's sweet. Both of your rings are absolutely stunning! If I ever get married, I would love a vintagey set. The prongs make more sense being flat---the wearer won't be scratching everyone all the time. They are so ornate and different and I just love them. I also like rings that "fit together" that were popular in the 1960s.
This is my favourite set on Etsy (1960s) Oh, only if it was relevant. (>_http://www.etsy.com/listing/105547398/vintage-wedding-rings-set-1960s-classic

That is STUNNING and looks like something I'd want to. I love the look of mixed metals...that way you don't have to choose a favourite if you get a mix of both! I go back and forth with what I want my engagement rings to look like...I know I'll be happy with whatever my mister chooses, because like you, he knows me well!
Stunning...
