Hi everyone! This is the first post in the new section little things. I was inspired by the lovely Emma and Elsie when they shared their "everyday" series to create a similar venue for myself.
I have adored so much how manzanita has changed and become what it is today. It has truly kept me more creative and motivated than I have ever been in my life! Over the last year manzanita has attained quite a bit of structure. I like keeping manzanita professional and ordered. My goal is to sort of treat it like a magazine. A place for my readers to come and be inspired to try out projects themselves, to incorporate handmade into their lives, and to make everything they do as beautiful as they can. I cherish that I can look back on this past year and have such a detailed chronicle of my life where I was with my small business and what kind aesthetics and projects interested me.
I created the little things because there have been many personal adventures and photos that just did not "make the cut" on manzanita. They simply didn't fit with the aesthetic I was going for. I am hoping this will be my venue to share my day to day happenings, random thoughts, photos of my little family and my home with out worrying if the photos are up to par or if they fit into some sort of structure. So far instagram has been taking care of this desire to document the little things in my life but I am really excited to bring this intention to the big screen!
I took these photos a couple of weeks ago when D and I took the poogs on a walk down the bike path. We did a little photo shoot that I will be sharing some time soon. I have been wanting to take photos of them for a while to ad to my photography portfolio in the future pet portraits section.
Sadie is a little model, she loves the camera! Olive on the other hand is a bit more restless and it is pretty hard to get her to sit still long enough to get a good shot, she is also a runner so we have to keep on the leash until the moment we take the photo. I think we got some good shots though.
